13) Synergy activity

These videos and album covers are good examples of uding synergy to create a brand identity across all media products. 

  1. Artist - Daft Punk 


Key features high lighted in these 2 pieces are the futuristic helmets of silver, black and gold metallic colours. Through the video, this is amplified through the outfits of silver suits and metallic guitars. Also, the logo of the bands name stays the same - white on black background and the font. 

Whats different is that the music video includes clips of anime. This may be expected by fans of Daft Punk who know that anime is part of their identity.

2.  Artist - Taylor Swift

The main features which occur in both products is the theme of being vintage and retro. This is represented through the polaroid picture for the album cover and the props of old cameras and outfits in the music video. Rip lipstick is a focal point in both products and the location is somewhat similar - her jumper in the album cover has birds in the sky and the music video begins with birds in the sky in a desert. 

3. Artist - Ed Sheeran 




The main key feature which links the 2 products is the use of character. The album cover includes a close up of Ed Sheeran and a cat foot print - the videos 2 main characters are them two too.
