Planning stage
1) Blogger, Youtube and Internet in general
2) Animatic to create a digital story board. After drawing our story board, we used a camera to take pictures of the individual shots and matched it with the beat and lyrics to create a rough idea of how our real music video will look like
Production stage
1) Photoshop to edit my digipak
2) Premiere Pro to edit the music video
To lip sync and edit our video, we learnt how to use premiere pro. Through this we learnt how to add markers, use the razor tool to cut all the shots at once at points that go with the beat, speed up or slow down shots, add filters and do edits such as the split screen. Without this video we wouldn't have been able to edit as well.
3) Wix to create the website
To create Amber's website, i used wix as it was easy and had many features to add. For example, after choosing my template out of the many ones available, I easily uploaded a range of images, texts (of different colours and fonts) and videos from youtube and vimeo. Wix also had a whole range of widgets and icons ranging from list of tour dates, live social media feeds and many buttons which were customisable.
4) Cameras and memory cards
We used the Canon cameras which filmed in high quality which had a 128gig memory card which we had to keep organised in order to know where is where. We also used a canon DSLR to take pictures for the ancillary work in front of the white screen. Learning how to focus the camera, use different angles and shot types and controlling the studio's lighting all contributed to the end result.
5) Social media like Instagram to keep Amber's fans up to date (or our teachers really) with our filming progress. We also tagged our locations to tell them where we are incase anything happens.
