After showing our second rough cut to the class, we received feedback on our video. Here are some points on what was mentioned:
Positive Aspects:
Positive Aspects:
- The main concept of the video is very good as well as the structure of the video
- The use of editing in general is good, mainly the use of a split screen
- How the artist is presented throughout the video, good use of editing when showing the artist in a narrative aspect following her singing in a basetrack
- The change of locations
Improvements:
- Correct the lip-syncing as it's slightly slow
- Show more of an impact at the beginning of the chorus
- Some shots are long and so should be cut to the beat
- A few shots are shown to be darker than others due to the time in which we filmed. We can overcome this by reshooting or possibly increasing contrast and brightness
- Show movement of artist in frame, add shots in which the artist is shown not to always be in the centre of frame
After looking back on the points where there is room for development, we will definitely keep developing our video and add in most of the feedback given, as we know our audience's feedback is crucial, when creating a better video.
